"crazy" redefined...from Diamond Matt Warren

There is a business model, that, if worked over time, can lead to both financial & time freedom, while also providing a great sense of purpose. The model is ours...

Many people are daily working on a job that:
- doesn't give them a great sense of purpose
- is capped or limited in terms of financial return
- doesn't pay them tomorrow (or 5 years from now) for work done today

Let me preface the main point with some introductory evidence:

- Paul Orfalea (founder of Kinko's), is Greek... when he got to America he couldn't believe all the emphasis on education & "jobs"... he says that in Greece you didn't think about a "job", you owned a business... (you can be a biz owner w/ Advocare)

- Dr. B, a local Doctor who's my age, said that if he could do it over, he'd own a small fitness biz & have a line of supplements. He'd help people w/ wellness and build time freedom in the process. But he's in too deep with loans, identity, etc... (you can be a a difference maker with Advocare)

- Recently connected with an old friend who's been with a pharmaceutical company for the past 11 years. He said his work & travel schedule had a lot to do with the recent breakup of his marriage. He said it's been a tough year, but he's gotta keep on working... (you can build time freedom with Advocare, which allows you to eventually work your business AROUND your life)

The Message: There is a logical business model that leads BOTH to financial AND time freedom, while also allowing people to make a significant positive difference in the lives of others...

Someone would be crazy to NOT build Advocare on the side of their day job

Our business is so simple and makes so much sense, that MANY PEOPLE MISS IT - sometimes people can be too sharp for their own good!
  • I understand that the Direct Selling model is not taught in schools...
  • I understand that President Obama doesn't use it as an example when referring to "small business"...
  • I understand that your parents & neighbors don't head-nod in approval when initially hearing about your new venture...
  • I understand that for some weird reason a pharmaceutical rep gains more initial social approval than a nutritional supplement rep...
  • I understand that most people can't fathom having a business that's producing revenue for them while they sleep, without a physical location or store front...
Despite each of the above, here is what I know:
  • Our products work.
  • Our products sell.
  • Our business is incredibly inexpensive to start.
  • Our business works - the last 18 years is proof.
  • Our business pays you in the future for work done today.
  • Our business leads to time freedom.
Why would someone NOT:
- help their friends and family with life changing products?
- do work today that pays them tomorrow?
- give the same opportunity to people they care for?
- build a business that leads to time freedom & options?

Unless someone is completely content, what sense does it make for someone to put all of their eggs into a job in which work today does not pay them in 2, 5, or 10 years?

Why would that person not build a Plan B along the side? It would be crazy not to.

There are many Advocare distributors living a life of purpose, joy, & freedom - a life different from the masses - because of the work they did 10, 5, & 2 years ago...

But first they had to think and do differently than the masses.

So I'm encouraging you to form your own opinion about what & who is crazy, & then to take a side.

Here's a concept for those of you sharing the Advocare business opportunity with others...

$2100 Would be a bargain just to have the ability to start an Advocare business... EVEN IF IT DIDN'T GET YOU ANY PRODUCTS!

Products are a bonus...

Think about it...

Most franchises START at around 40K just to "buy the name" and start the process... (Curves: 30K, GNC: 40K, Smoothie King: 25K)

That franchise fee doesn't include:
- property lease
- signage
- employees
- product inventory

So essentially, the $79 Distributor fee IS the equivalent to the "franchise fee" in the above businesses... the fact that $2100 gets you product is kind of a bonus... it's seed that starts your business...

And no matter WHAT business or franchise you start, there is going to be a tremendous amount of sweat equity put in, especially in the beginning... AND THEN IT STARTS TO ROLL...

Are you willing to put in the effort that makes it "roll"?

That's the question you need to be asking people... not whether they can afford $2100... the $2100 is a no brainer, a bargain drop in the bucket in the grand picture of things...

MLM thing?...from Diamond Matt Warren

Please allow me to share some perspective regarding terminology that gets thrown around out there...

This training will help you be more proud of who we are & what we do as Advocare distributors...

When you share Advocare, some people might assume or say "Oh ya this is one of those "MLM things"... my sister does "Jungle Juice XYZ" company so I know what this is all about..."

"MLM" = Multi-Level Marketing Company (aka: pyramid deal)

I've come to understand 2 things over time:

1. Most everything you & I purchase has a "multi-level" pay structure

2. There is a difference between an "MLM" & a solid Direct Sales Opportunity

1. Most everything you & I purchase has a "multi-level" pay structure

When you buy groceries, there are "multiple levels" of people getting paid:

1. Farmer

2. Wholesaler

3. Distributor

4. Trucking Companies

5. Grocery Store Owner

6. Grocery Store Employees

So does that make your local grocery store an "MLM" or pyramid deal - clearly not - it's just the way distribution works...

And let's face it, all of the following products & services have a "multi-level" pay structure:

- Gasoline

- Health Insurance

- Life Insurance

- Financial Products & Services

- Gym Memberships

- Gas, Electric, & Cell Phone Bills

Bottom line: In a world of specialization & convenience, it takes

SEVERAL LAYERS OF DISTRIBUTION TO EFFICIENTLY GET A

PRODUCT FROM FACTORY TO CONSUMER

But with most products & services, the layers remain "faceless" to us so we don't really think about it...

2. There is a difference between an "MLM" & a solid Direct Sales Opportunity

How I'd define a typical "MLM":

A relatively unproven company (less than 10 years old) who is NOT a member of the DSA (Direct Sales Association), distributing a marginally effective, over priced product into the market place, which often times is a front for a money making scheme. These companies often attract distributors who've "jumped ship" from their last "MLM" deal and essentially are "career MLM hoppers". There is a very "salesy" feel in their meetings, with a strong emphasis on the business, likely promoting a high roller lifestyle of the 3 J's: Jaguars, Jamaica, & Jewelry.

Essentially, these companies take advantage of the laws which allow a product to be distributed via the "Direct Sales Model" - they often have rogue leadership and are typically shut down, out of business, or merged with other companies within 2-5 years.

Obviously, Advocare is very different than what I described above.

How I'd define Advocare:

Advocare is an 18 year old Direct Selling Company who delivers it's products to the market place through distributors instead of retail outlets (GNC, etc). Advocare is a member of the DSA (the governing body who ensures that high ethics & standards are being met by all members) and features elite science based nutritionals which have a true market demand & value. Advocare allows distributors to be compensated by both retailing the products and building teams which help Advocare expand into the market place.

So, does Advocare have a pay structure that compensates through multiple levels of distributors - absolutely - just like your groceries, gas, & insurance.

Is Advocare even remotely close to the typical MLM deal your friend or brother referred to? No.

In Summary:

Thinking objectively & differently is a major part of living a life different from the masses.

Be proud of what you represent; you are a special person, & Advocare is a special company.

EDUCATING & RE-EDUCATING people is sometimes a part of our job description.

We can't control everyone's perception, but we can control how we respond, how we live our lives, and how we run our businesses.

Your sharpest future teammates will likely be the biggest skeptics; love them regardless, and live a life that's attractive to them - eventually their faith in you will likely allow them to open their eyes to what Advocare is about.
