If there was ever a time to push yourself, this is it. Don't be a slacker, you've got millions of dollars riding on your ability to execute steps 1 through 3.

Reaching out method

From Silver leader Dawn Aronoff

*************************

found something that is working for me...Ladies fitness lunch.
I make an easy recipe and share it with everyone. Talk about health and wellness and how Advocare fits in. I go through 4 relationships as well.
Both times I have done it, I have had existing dist. and new people. Last time the new woman signed up, this time the new lady wants me to come talk to her husband. Other win is I've got a dist. hosting one.

I love it cause it gives me a chance to strengthen relationships with dist. and check in with them and everyone loves food.

Carlos Rios ROCKS Tour DaVita

We'll take away the weather (rain and temps in the low to mid 50s, wind gusts to 20 mph) and it was one of the best experiences I have had. Having said that, I know I couldn’t have made it without some Advocare product, which by the way I take religiously.

Before Riding
– 1 serving of Muscle Gain Vanilla
1 Apple Cinnamon Breakfast bar
3 Muscle Strength Tablets
2 O2Gold Tablets
3 Catalyst Tablets

During The Ride
- Argenine Extreme mixed with Rehydrate ß this combination is in one word described as WOW!
- 3 Catalyst Tablets

After The Ride
- 1 Serving of Post Recovery
- 1 Serving of Muscle Gain Vanilla

240 miles … if time was kept like they do during le Tour de France, I would have finished 1 hour 27 minutes before anyone else. The last day included a 20 mile climb that started mile 57. The last 4 miles we kicked it up to 23 mph. 8 people finished in front of me. The ride started Sunday in Tacoma, Washington and finished Tuesday in Shelton, Washington. I flew back on Wednesday and Sunday of that week, I rode in the Ride4Ronald Metric Century (62 miles).

Heidi Fleming rocks Augusta 70.3

70.3 is a distance, also called Half Ironman. Athletes swim 1.2 miles, ride 56 miles and then run 13.1 miles for time. z

**********

Hi Kim & Z,
I hope you are both well. Augusta went very well.

The swim was with the current in the Savannah River, jumped off a dock to start (we usually run into the water), the bike was HILLY, downhill was fun. LOL - I need to practice shifting. But because of all of the shifting the time went very fast. The run was good too. My foot/calf did ok. It was flat and lots of people cheering you on.

It rained from the time I set up my gear 5:30am until I finished the race around 3:30pm - 4pm. It took me 7hrs 2 mins to finish which is about 15 minutes faster than the one I did in May.

Since I hadn't been able to run since March (except for 3 races) and didn't bike for 6 weeks between June & July, (I started training with minimal running and biking again in Aug.) I was happy with the results.

I attribute regaining the fitness so quickly to me starting on Advocare. There was a marked difference in how I felt at the end of this race compared to previous races. (The time I gained was at the end of the race with the run and I biked hard (for me) through the 56 miles of hills.)

But it was a good experience. I set a PR - so I'll get this calf / foot issue fixed, enjoy the 'off season' and then get ready for 2011 where I turn 50... WOOOO HOOOO..... and try to beat my 2010 PR.

I mean I WILL beat my 2010 PR.

Business Opportunity Event in Tampa Florida following Women of Faith Event

DIAMOND DISTRIBUTORS
Jim & Marcy O'Hickey and Mike & Sarah Ferro

ATTENTION, PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ON TO YOUR TEAM.

This is one of the events we need to take advantage of as it is in our backyard! Diamond Distributors Jim and Marcy O Hickey as well as Diamond Distributors Mike and Sarah Ferro will be following up the Tampa Women of Faith Event with a Business Opportunity Presentation. This will be a powerful introduction to the Advocare Business opportunity. You want your prospects to hear this! The address is below and is open to all.

Monday, October 18th - 7 pm

Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel
200 North Ashley Drive
Tampa, Florida

EVENTS WORK!

Remember back to the first time you "got it". You really understood what Advocare was. It was more than just top notch nutrition. It was personal growth, faith, family, friends, and much, much more. Where were you?? Most likely at an event like the picure of all of us at Sal's.

This is where vision is cast by those who have powerful testimonies of just that. This is why you want to bring someone new and why they deserve to experience what you experienced. Do not miss this opportunity to change someones life. It is not about you. It is about them, the new person. Let's make this about as many new people as we can.

A few reasons why you want to be there and bring others with you:

You need more energy
You want weight loss?
You don't have any time? You need extra money?
You need debt freedom?
You are tired of doing what you do?
Sick of your boss? Your work?
You have bigger dreams that can't be reached at the current rate?
You want to take all-expense paid vacations?
Daycare raising your kids?
You need to cover the mortgage payment?
You need to cover the car payment?
You want to be at home?

"I'm educated - where's the red carpet?"

Thanks to Matt Warren for sharing.

Most of my generation grew up believing /expecting/ hearing the following:

- good grades and a college degree pave the golden path
- something or someone with a big and secure idea would provide a "job" for me

I'm a fan of education and value the HS/College education I have, but education is a stepping stone, not a ticket! (and informal, business/growth/sales/leadership education is something anyone can begin now).

A few things weren't impressed upon my generation:

- entrepreneurship
- salesmanship
- communication and people skills
- residual income
- freedom, designing a life
- purpose driven work that you don't "retire" from

And here are some SAD RESULTS due to the above:

- many people have a hard time taking a check or cash from someone else because they're afraid to profit! (news flash: whether we see their face or not, someone is profiting off of EVERY penny we spend)

- many people have chosen to swipe credit cards beyond their limits rather than "selling" on a part time basis to earn and pay cash for the purchases beyond what their job can afford.

- many people suffer financially rather than build their own business on a part time basis that could give them a better life.

- a generation (many, not all) of workers who have a sense of entitlement for a nice salary and good life but don't have the guts to create it.

- a credit/economic crunch fueled by a generation who insists on borrowing before earning.

I'm direct about this topic because I've been on the other side and was in a sink or swim position. I chose to swim. FIND THE SWIMMERS!

Degree or no degree: give me a person with some guts, integrity, influence, and a desire to grow and learn NOW, and we can build something special.

Jets, Bengals, and Advocare...

Thanks to Matt Warren for sharing.

Athletes, parents of athletes, coaches and football fans will get a kick out of this.

The New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals each had big victories this weekend.

I won't say Advocare had everything to do with it, but I do know they were takin' Advocare stuff.

JETS: Last week the Jets' head strength coach emailed our NY teammates, the Ingallinas, through the leads program. He wanted a few canisters of SPARK asap that the guys could use for their upcoming game. He ordered it online and had the Spark overnighted.

BENGALS:
Last Friday, a player contacted our Ohio teammates, the Lawsons, through the leads program. He said he needed some Advocare for 9 teammates who wanted the product for Sunday's game. He ordered SPARK, MUSCLE FUEL, REHYDRATE, AND ARGININE EXTREME. He said they take Rehydrate the whole game. The Lawsons drove the product to him asap and he gave them 4 crisp $100 bills.

Three things to take from this:

1) Think about all the different products these guys could be taking? Even more, think about all the other stuff they can take for free! (hint: Gatorade) Yet they are willing to pay full retail for Advocare products.

2) You are indeed part of a very special company at the right time... seize the day... tell these stories and work like crazy to capitalize on all that's happening right now...

3) GET ON THE LEADS PROGRAM - if you're not on the leads program, get on it. Put yourself in a position to 'get lucky' by working hard on the front end. "The harder you work, the luckier you get".

LOG IN AND READ THE CRITERIA FOR LEADS PROGRAM AND GET ON IT ASAP!

Good Business Definition

Thanks to Diamond Matt Warren for sharing.

Recently I heard my friend Bob Donnelly share his definition of 'good business':

"PROVIDING A GOOD OR SERVICE FOR A MUTUAL BENEFIT"

I was again struck with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and purpose, as it was a reminder of the 'value' we bring to others.

Why is it that some sharp people don't get an Advocare business off the ground?

There can be multiple reasons, here's one of them: deep down they aren't convinced of the 'mutual' part of the above definition. they feel as if they're 'taking' versus 'giving' when initiating the exchange.

Our business exploded when I got my head on straight with the following 3 Beliefs:

1) I genuinely believe a persons life is better with our products in their body than without

2) I genuinely believe I can help someone earn income with this vehicle if they apply themselves

3) I genuinely believe anyone who joins our company will grow both as a person and a leader

Therefore, I shall fear no man. I am simply a messenger who shares the message of Advocare and what it can be for a person. I trust that a person who is a fit for our company will 'catch' that message and we'll move forward in a mutually beneficial business relationship that impacts people in a positive way.

Adopting those beliefs in our core allowed us to bring a bold and unwaivering message to the market place, without being pushy or needy. People follow certainty. People follow strength.

If you apply these beliefs and laws, your impact and business will grow!

Advocare Movie Night

Thanks to Matt Warren for sharing.

On Tuesday, October 26th, Advocare will be in movie theatres nationwide...

How do you properly promote this to get your prospective teammates in the theatre that night? Read on for one exciting way to promote this special night...

Most people saw Avatar. And for 1-2 weeks after seeing it, they TOLD OTHERS ABOUT IT.

Why did they stop telling people about it after 1-2 weeks?

BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T GETTING PAID TO TALK ABOUT AVATAR!

Check it out.

We're gonna show people a movie that will PAY them to keep telling others about what they saw! Wow!

A movie that pays you continuously and residually.

A movie that doesn't die.

A movie that won't be a "has been" that dies in the archives of Netflix instant streaming.

A movie that doesn't just make you dream, it gives you the vehicle to live your dreams!

THAT is how you promote the Advocare Movie Night.

CLICK HERE FOR MOVIE NIGHT LOCATIONS AROUND THE COUNTRY.

Stay tuned for details on upcoming calls that will instruct you on how to best promote this special evening... expect a Diamond led training call next Sunday night, September 26th.

In the meantime, practice the invitation tip from above. This is the one movie that will pay people to keep talking about it!

Appointments: Lifeblood of Your Business

Thanks to Matt Warren for sharing.

The #1 reason people move forward in building an Advocare business: Their ability and willingness to schedule appointments with people.

So why doesn't everyone do it? It's usually silly, unfounded beliefs that rob them of helping others.

Hang with me. let me set the stage as the nuggets are in the end.

- To be successful here, you must have people join your team and/or take your product

- What precedes someone joining your business or taking your products is an appointment

- 5 M's: More Meetings Mean More Money - it's true. The more appointments you do the more success you'll have.

APPOINTMENT (aka "Meeting"): you and your prospect spending set aside, uninterrupted time to find out if they are a fit for Advocare on either a business or product level, with you sharing all levels of involvement, with an invitation for them to join you, given that we can provide them a solution.

It's common to see someone stuck in a "meeting reluctance" mode. people doing EVERYTHING BUT quality appointments with quality people.

They're not scheduling appointments due to:
- thinking that occasional chit chat (at work, in public, on facebook) with that person will actually lead to something

- not wanting to put forth the time or effort

- lack of VISION and FAITH as to what the appointments can and will lead to

- fear of rejection

- assuming that their prospects don't need/want Advocare

- using poor thinking or word choices when trying to schedule an appointment

I can't help someone not willing to put in the effort or time, but the other issues are false stuff that we can fix. read on..

Here are some essential beliefs that will POWER you to setting appointments:

- It's not my job to decide if someone needs Advocare, my job is to give people an opportunity to make an informed decision about Advocare

- Something positive ALWAYS comes out of a meeting, even if it's a "no": If someone says "no" to Advocare, then I've successfully identified someone who isn't a fit and I know where they stand

- I am a good, logical, sane person... I was given the opportunity and I eventually said yes, so it only makes sense that I present this to other good, logical, and sane people

- I have in my hands the power to change and save lives

- If I share our DVD, product samples, 24 Day Challenge Program, Impact Magazine, and business opportunity - the right person will be attracted to that and move forward at some level

- I'm not trying to "sell" anyone... I'm sharing how we can provide a solution for them, and offering the opportunity for partnering with them if they choose to accept that solution

- 2 out of 3 appointments will result in at least a retail product sale, often times more

So once you have your head on straight, let's look at word choices that will help you set appointments:

- "Keith, hey I'm hoping you can set aside a little time for me to come visit you. I'd like to show you what Amber and I do. we operate a business from home that's based on referrals, and I'd like you to know what we do so that you can send people our way who might be a fit. it may or may not be for you, but I at least want you to know what we do. you got your calendar handy?"

- That was an actual call I made to a guy from our church the other day, I don't know him that well but I like him and he likes me, so of course he scheduled me and I visit he and his wife tomorrow. I want to partner with people like him, and am fully confident that he'll partner at some level.

- I didn't get into a bunch of stuff over the phone - that's all I needed to say. my goal was to get an appointment. the appointment will allow me to fully share Advocare.

- And when I meet them, I'll follow the "Business Appointment Flow" on our website: CLICK HERE FOR THE "BIZ APPT FLOW"

CHANCES ARE:
- YOU can meet with more people than you have been.
- YOU have something powerful to share, but your own beliefs have been getting in the way!
- YOU have greater potential to schedule meetings with good people than you think.
- YOU can build a wildly successful business if you employ yourself, and the above principles.
- YOU will become a master appointment setter and presenter.

Eagles' Ellis Hobbs is Advocare's new football endorser!

Thanks to Matt Warren for sharing.

The AdvoCare pro football tour continues, and today’s stop is in Philadelphia where we find our newest football endorser, defensive back Ellis Hobbs.

Ellis is the kind of guy you want on your team. He is a smart, tough player who can also make big plays on special teams as a kick-off returner. His 2009 season was cut short because of a neck injury, but Ellis has worked hard to come back and is slated to start at one of the corners for Philly this year.

Ellis Hobbs Tidbits:
- Holds the pro football league record for the longest kickoff return for a touchdown (108 yards)

- Played college football at Iowa State where he was also recognized three times as an Iowa State Scholar-Athlete

- Earned his college degree in Arts and Design and hopes to take his talents into the field of animation and graphic design when he retires from football

- Ellis’ favorite AdvoCare products are Post-Workout Recovery Sports Drink, Muscle Gain™ Protein Shake, Muscle Strength™ and Nighttime Recovery

Did You Know?
Ellis says that one of the biggest influences on his football career was his college strength coach, Matt McGettigan. “He was always pushing me, pushing everybody. He really enforced hard work and preparation off the field. It’s something I take with me to this day.”

Advocare's Reputation & Yours

Thanks to Mike Ferro for sharing this article.

with Richard Wright, Advocare's President and CEO

Reputation is everything in the game plan for success. Behind every successful business is a reputation of excellence. How would you grade yours? Do you know or care? You should.

Your reputation is everything. But what does “reputation” really mean? The CEO and founder of Amazon defines reputation as “what people say about you when you have left the room.” What do people say about your company when you leave the room?

Reputations take years to build but seconds to lose. At AdvoCare, we believe reputation is about everything a company does—from the products it sells, to each marketing campaign and the attitude of every employee. That’s why we place such a strong emphasis on it.

As an award-winning member of the Direct Selling Association, AdvoCare is reputation-driven and truly believes reputation is everything. That’s the reason we go the extra mile to ensure our products not only work, but they are safe through our Scientific & Medical Advisory Board and Informed-Choice certification.

The Key to Sustained Success
A great product is good, but it’s not enough. Consistently building the reputation of your company is a key to sustained success.

Coming into this year we found ourselves in a place of great momentum. Our organization was on fire. Our world-class products and proven marketing plan are a big reason for this. At the same time, we believed that programs, endorsers and events could further awareness in the marketplace and build our reputation in addition to our products and opportunity.

We want people talking about our company. Plain and simple. So we looked for ways to get the conversation started and keep it going. Elevating awareness in this way became a part of our strategy.

We decided to lead with reputation in all aspects of our business. From the face-to-face relationships that are the foundation of direct selling to the limitless number of fans and friends we can reach through social media, people were going to learn the name AdvoCare.

Be Bold—Turn Chances into Opportunities

In December 2009 we took a bold step. By being the title sponsor of the 2009 V100™ Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La., AdvoCare was the first-ever direct selling company to sponsor a postseason college bowl game. The game set records for attendance and viewership, and everyone who bought a ticket or tuned in learned more about AdvoCare. This was historic and something we knew would support our vision of being a household name. It was, and still is, a proud moment for us.

As part of our title sponsor efforts, we initiated a tour featuring our award-winning AdvoBus, with stops at college football games across the United States.

We also introduced television commercials that aired during the national broadcast of the game and a campaign featuring our endorsers and two impact products. “I want Spark” and “I want Slam” Web portals were created for these products. Free samples drove people to the AdvoCare website and into our distributor leads program. More than 65,000 leads were generated through the “I want” campaign.

We’ll return as title sponsor for this year’s game, to be played on Monday, Dec. 27, and televised nationally on ESPN2.

In March 2010 we announced New Orleans Quarterback Drew Brees as our first-ever National AdvoCare Spokesperson. To help make a difference, we’ve continued to ally with his foundation—The Brees Dream Foundation.

We also continue to add to our list of high-profile endorsers, which include world-class athletes and professional entertainers. Earlier this year we announced a partnership with Women of Faith. AdvoCare had a presence at events across the nation in the spring and August. This opened the door to a new audience, giving us new opportunity to build our reputation and further our goal to make AdvoCare a household name.

Where else did we look to get the word out and make a difference? Community social responsibility is huge for us. In January we kicked off our fundraising efforts as the Platinum Sponsor for Operation Homefront—a nonprofit organization that supports our troops and their families. People identify with what this organization is trying to achieve. They align with its goals. And, they ally themselves with those who are willing to help.

I tell you about each of these efforts because you, too, can fuel growth by getting involved and being a company who cares, a company with a reputation for giving back.

Real Results

The results of leading with reputation can be intangible, but I’ll tell you, they are very real.

AdvoCare is proof positive that these efforts can and do matter. We’ve experienced double-digit growth in sales and recruiting compared to the same time frame in the previous year. And, more people know the AdvoCare name today than at any time in our history. We continue to grow today.

So how do you measure the bottom line? The results are apparent in the organization and resonate in your salesforce. When you see a rise in momentum, sales and recruiting, you know. It’s more than numbers—it is momentum, excitement and trust from our field organization that fuels the tremendous growth of AdvoCare.

While we are looking for new and improved ways to turn up the volume, our sales organization is able to remain focused on the basics of our business. While we go look for opportunities to make the company a household name, our distributors can succeed with the fundamentals.

When you build a positive reputation, not only do you build confidence in your field organization, making it that much easier to share the name of your company, but also confidence and respect with your customers.

Our distributors have a better chance for success when they go share AdvoCare with someone who says, “I’ve heard of AdvoCare. Isn’t Drew Brees your spokesperson?” When we’re opening the door for our distributors through brand awareness, they have time to focus on what this business is all about—building relationships.

So, what do you think people say about your company when you leave the room? Would you stake your reputation on it?

After all, reputation is everything.
