Thanks to Matt Warren for sharing!

I'm not an economist, but have made an observation on which you can form your own opinion...

This isn't a short and light message, but if you desire to earn income in this economy... you'll find it worthwhile...

BEWARE of a dangerous perception floating around that can rob you and your family of passion and destiny...

The perception of some people is that "$ has stopped circulating"...

Make no mistake... $ is circulating, that doesn't change...

THE PATH OF $ AND WHERE IT'S CIRCULATING DOES CHANGE!...

Let's do 10 $ circulation comparisons from 2 YEARS AGO vs. TODAY...

2 YEARS AGO compared to TODAY, more $ circulated through:

1. New Auto Sales
2. New Home Construction
3. Starbucks ("5-Bucks")
4. 1-on-1 Personal Training
5. Commercial and land real estate investing
6. Nordstrom and Macys
7. The Stock Market and inflated investment promises (guys like Bernard Madoff)
8. Mexican Restaurants
9. Highly Paid Physicians
10. Nutrition and Wellness Products/Services

Compared to the similar LIST ABOVE, TODAY more $ is circulating through:

1. Used Car Sales
2. Home Repair and Improvement
3. Spark Energy Drink ($.75 a serving for Advisors)
4. Group Fitness Training b/w $100-$150/month per person (Advo teammates Brock Meadows and Greg Smith are boomin' their fitness business with SMALL GROUP training vs the old 1on1 method)
5. Real estate auctions (buddy Greg Frey is thriving b/c he transitioned from commercial real estate toward real estate auctions!)
6. Kohls discount dept stores (profits are up and they're building 9 new stores!)
7. Gold and other metals, and low risk govt. backed investments
8. Chipotle and QDoba (always packed - $6 feeds your face vs. $20 at a restaurant)
9. Physician's assistants, nurses (Dr. support teams)
10. Nutrition and Wellness HOME BASED OPPORTUNITIES (yes people love and purchase products, but a greater % of nutrition business is now coming from people investing in the OPPORTUNITY)

Are you seeing it?...

Has $$$ stopped circulating?... NO...

OUR EDUCATION DOES NOT DICTATE THE MARKET... THE MARKET AND TRENDS SHOULD DICTATE WHAT WE'RE INVESTING AND BUILDING...

There will be people who become wealthy in THIS economy... how?... they'll put themselves in the CURRENT path of $$$... (our business doubled in 2009)

People are investing in the Advocare Opportunity... it's 100% guaranteed... and it's a part of the growing wellness revolution...

Speak to people about OPPORTUNITY in addition to products! That's what people are ASKING FOR AND NEEDING RIGHT NOW... Put yourself in the path of $ circulation.

Thanks to Matt Warren for sharing!

2 Types of Courage

Whether you're striving toward a health or financial goal, here are some champion words from Ruben Gonzalez... a 4 time Winter Olympian in 3 different decades...

"First comes a dream, followed by a struggle, and then there is victory. The problem is, most people give up in the struggle section and never get to sense what victory feels like. Great people have two types of courage. First, they have the courage to get started, to take a leap of faith, to take action when they have no guarantees of success. Second, once they are on their way, they develop the courage to endure, the courage to persevere. Perseverence is the key."

Thanks to Matt Warren for sharing!

This note is for those who'd like specific word choices and direction for recruiting...

The other day, while feeling especially grateful for what Advocare has done for our lives, I felt a duty and an obligation to share it with others...

So I thought of my past (even rivals from other high schools)... I asked myself:
- whom did I really respect?
- who respected me?
- who was a fierce athletic competitor?
- who was gracious in victory and defeat?
- who had natural influence and used it for good?

3 Guys popped in my mind: Andy, Eric, and Shawn

Through facebook, I was able to get contact info for Andy and Eric... still workin' to connect with Shawn...

My PHONE conversation (I used facebook simply to get the phone #) with Andy and Eric included the following components:
- Catching up
- Letting them know I was calling for a specific reason
- We've been w/ Advocare for since 2004, and it's working
- Drew Brees (Super Bowl MVP), the Bronco's Kyle Orton, and the OSU strength coach are on board
- I've always respected them and they're the type of person with whom we like to partner
- I'm simply asking them to KEEP AN OPEN MIND and GIVE IT A GOOD LOOK
- If it's not a fit for them, at least they'll be able to give us a referral

Upon there commitment to keep an open mind and take a good look, I commited 2 things to them:
1) An email with several video links
2) A package in the mail with an Impact Mag, DVD, Spark, Rehydrate, Meal Shake, MNS Pack (both of these prospects are out of state)

The email includes these types of links (based on personality):
- Leitgeb income story to Andy Click Here
- Hadachek story to Eric Click Here
- Drew Brees commercial: Click Here
- Michael W. Smith endorser video to Eric: Click Here
- Our Story: Click Here

I thanked them for keeping an open mind and in advance for giving me feedback. I also let them know that I'd be giving them a call around the time their package arrives in the mail to guide them through the contents.

This process has a "definite future"... meaning there are specific steps and a timeline... I've gotten their commitment to take a good look, that's all I can ask for... so I'm feelin' pretty good and I trust that if they are a fit that the videos and package will lead to a positive dialologue and potential business relationship.

$2100 Perspective

Here's a concept for those of you sharing the Advocare business opportunity with others...

$2100 Would be a bargain just to have the ability to start an Advocare business... EVEN IF IT DIDN'T GET YOU ANY PRODUCTS!

Products are a bonus...

Most franchises START at around 40K just to "buy the name" and start the process... (Curves: 30K, GNC: 40K, Smoothie King: 25K)

That franchise fee doesn't include:
- property lease
- signage
- employees
- product inventory

So essentially, the $79 Distributor fee IS the equivalent to the "franchise fee" in the above businesses... the fact that $2100 gets you product is kind of a bonus... it's seed that starts your business...

And no matter WHAT business or franchise you start, there is going to be a tremendous amount of sweat equity put in, especially in the beginning... AND THEN IT STARTS TO ROLL...

Are you willing to put in the effort that makes it "roll"?

That's the question you need to be asking people... not whether they can afford $2100... the $2100 is a no brainer, a bargain drop in the bucket in the grand picture of things...

Not to mention that the product purchased is refundable for up to 1 year...

So it's the people who are taking the ABOVE MESSAGE to the market place who are winning big...

People respond to strength and belief... not fear...

So make sure your head is on straight when talking Advisor to people... remind and condition yourself to the above concept until it becomes your own personal conviction...

From Joe Hadachek

We had the honor of watching one of AdvoCare's non-paid endorsers compete Saturday night at the Midwest Cage Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. Born and raised in Glidden, Iowa a young man has vividly chased a dream to compete on the national scene in cage fighting. Kevin Burns, like many of us, was a product user first, a business builder second, and now the only AdvoCare endorser in his field. Kevin helped his dad change his life on the AdvoCare products. Just ask Jack Burns what it was like to quit smoking cigarettes after 40 years! Kevin changed his dad's life, then his mom's life, and many others by sharing a product that worked for him. Who do you know that needs to change a bad habit? Who do you know that needs to lose some weight? Time is going to tick by whether you help someone or not, so why not introduce someone you know to a product and change a life today? And, oh by the way, Kevin won a unanimous, three round decision in Des Moines and was sporting his AdvoCare logo proudly on his shorts.

Advocare Business Team,
There is a business model, that, if worked over time, can lead to both financial and time freedom, while also providing a great sense of purpose. The model is ours...

- Paul Orfalea (founder of Kinko's), is Greek... when he got to America he couldn't believe all the emphasis on education and "jobs"... he says that in Greece you didn't think about a "job", you owned a business... (you can be a business owner with Advocare)

My message: There is a logical business model that leads BOTH to financial AND time freedom, while also allowing people to make a significant positive difference in the life of others. Someone would be crazy to NOT build Advocare on the side of their day job
Our business is so simple and makes so much sense, that MANY PEOPLE MISS IT - sometimes people can be too sharp or smart for their own good!
  • I understand that the Direct Selling model is not taught in schools...
  • I understand that President Obama doesn't use it as an example when referring to "small business"...
  • I understand that your parents and neighbors don't head-nod in approval when initially hearing about your new venture...
  • I understand that for some weird reason a pharmaceutical rep gains more initial social approval than a nutritional supplement rep...
  • I understand that most people can't fathom having a business that's producing revenue for them while they sleep, and without a physical location or store front...
Despite each of the above, here is what I know:
  • Our products work.
  • Our products sell.
  • Our business is incredibly inexpensive to start.
  • Our business works - the last 17 years is proof.
  • Our business pays you in the future for work done today.
  • Our business leads to time freedom.

Thanks to Diamond Mike Ferro for sharing!

My parents finally closed on their house!! 10 years ago, I would have had to say, "Good luck with moving." Today I say, GREAT, I'll book my ticket RIGHT NOW for Next Wed. and my son and I and will fly to Nevada for a week to help you move. No boss to tell me I can't. Money isn't an issue. My business will still pay me like a business. I'll come home to a very large 3 week pay period check. And I get to be with my loved ones, guilt free and no credit card bills to come home to.

Advocare Business Team,
We all intend to read great stuff right? But time to read is tough to squeeze in huh?
If you'd like a short cut, read on...
Below is a link to a "Readers Digest" version of one of the most important books we've read during our Advocare journey...
Amber and I read it when we were at the Silver level, earning $500 - $1000 per month, and on the verge of moving 5 states away...
We repeatedly used "The 7 Decisions" of this book to keep faith and build on during times of great challenge and uncertainty...
The book, "The Traveler's Gift", by Andy Andrews is incredible - read it if you can.
But until you have time to read the entire book, here are THE 7 DECISIONS Andy outlines in the book...
Enjoy,

Do you have a production problem?

From Diamond Matt Warren...z

*****************

Advocare Business Team,

I'm not sure I can communicate this message and still be "the good guy"...

In my defense, several years ago I was personally willing to swallow the tough pill of truth... not from my parents despite their efforts, but from a business friend who was prospering greatly...

"MATT, YOU DON'T HAVE A DEBT PROBLEM, YOU HAVE A PRODUCTION PROBLEM."

It was a punch in the gut - that I needed. And it was then I decided that as an American with 2 eyes, 2 ears, and a voice that I wasn't gonna be broke anymore. I was gonna be a bulldog and go get it... I was gonna be a production machine, a value creator, a people builder, a master of my craft... for goodness sake I was gonna even stop caring so much about what other people think :-)

You want your debt to go away? Make more money.
Sick of your job and want freedom? Build a residual income business - period.

But many Americans want a convenient, easy answer, and there are many companies (with their commercials) trying to PROFIT off of people wanting an easy way out of their problems...

You can:

* consolidate your debt (as if that's gonna make it disappear)
* coupon clip till you're blue in the face
* ring the # of the lawyer who'll wipe out your IRS debts
*
ring the # of commercials touting they can help you "pay yourself faster" (huh?)
*
go to freescore.com or freecreditreport.com
*
meet with your financial advisor to shuffle papers
*
shut off your home phone and try to do it all on your cell
* refuse to dine out
* "trade" with others for products and services
* read Suze Orman and Dave Ramsy and carry a special wallet with cash, tuck your dreams in a suitcase and live like a hermit, etc

Hey I'm all for frugality and sacrifice - been there done that...

But ya wanna know what the most solid answers to your particular financial issues are? Massive production. Massive value creation. Aggresive and urgent pursuit of your goal - whether it's Advocare or something else.

Stop shuffling papers. Get busy - help more people - and make more $.

You see, a lot of people who have achieved finacial freedom think like this, but they won't say it for fear of how they'll be perceived. I'm at peace with putting this out there...

Once I got OK with the concept of: massive production > helping more people > earning more income > radical life change > work from a place of purpose, not for the check > help more people (notice it's a positive cycle that benefits others, but it starts with you getting where you need to be first)

* My answer to people who are tired of being overweight: stop being overweight, be done with that

* My answer to people who are tired of being broke: stop being broke, be done with that

* My answer to people who are tired of workin' for the man: agressively pursue your Plan B and quickly change your situation

We're Americans in an age where more value (and wealth) is being created than ever before.

If you can earn $7 here, you can earn $70, and $700, and $7,000, and $70,000, and $700,000... just choose to add a zero to your current production.

Hope that helps.

Encouraging thoughts from Tim Hancock

Being a value in Advocare doesn't hinge on your paycheck. However having high value is an indicator of a potentially large check. Tim Hancock has been on 4 or 5 of the last bonus calls. So far in less than 6 months he's earned over $40,000 in bonuses from Advocare...z

*************

ENCOURAGING WORDS

READY:
"For whatever was written before was written for our instruction, so that through our endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope." - Romans 15:4

SET:
Former major leaguer Don Baylor once said "in baseball you can't let failure carry over to the next day. You have to flip the page." Encouragement from others often plays a major role in our efforts to keep moving forward. A young minor leaguer experienced this as he struggled through a difficult first season. As the son of a former major leaguer, he possessed all the tools to be a great athlete, but his potential was not being reached. He expected to be released at any time. The turning point came during an afternoon game. Before his second at bat, the opposing catcher called time out and went to the pitcher's mound for a conference. While they were busy, the umpire, standing behind the plate, spoke calmly to the young man. After play resumed, the very next pitch was crushed for a home run. From then on he played with a new confidence and eventually was called up to the major leagues. When asked later what caused the turn-a-round, the young player gave credit to the umpire. He told me, "You look just like your dad in the batter's box. You hold the bat just like he did. I can see his genes in you."

As we go through life we too will encounter problems, conflicts and troubles of all kinds. God's Word contains many valuable lessons. Scripture teaches us be strong and to hang on. It provides comfort in our most desperate hour. Trouble can come at us in waves, but instead of sinking under those waves, we have the hope that the Lord will see us through. That hope allows us to "flip the page" and eagerly anticipate what God has in store for us tomorrow.

GO:
1. Has someone's encouragement ever made a major impact on your life?

2. What kind of encourager are you?

3. Do you spend regular time in God's Word letting Him encourage you?

OVERTIME:
2 Thessalonians 2:16
Philemon 1:7
1 Corinthians 14:3

Make it a great day and God Bless.
Tim Hancock

How Consistent are You?

One of my personal struggles..z

**************************************

How Consistent are You?

By Randy Gage
March 17th, 2010

I can’t begin to tell you how many people struggle in this business because of consistency. They get fired up after an event and work like crazy for two weeks. Then the remote control starts to beckon to them…
They go missing for a couple months. Then they get to another event and get fired up again. They try to make up for the lost time with extra hours. Then they drop off again.
What they don’t realize is that each time they go MIA, it kills the momentum in their team. So you can’t really catch up those hours.
You will always get passed by others who may not have manic bursts of high activity, but work consistently ten to 15 hours a weeks. Here’s my law of this:
You can work part-time, but you can’t work sometimes.
So how you doing on this?

Urgency and Patience

Great wisdom from Diamond Matt Warren.z

Builder Team,

Some thoughts for those of you who are engaged, and who want Advocare success in the worst way...

URGENCY is an intangible that has accompanied all great Advocare leaders...

That "now" mentality is so important... seizing the moment now, getting the appointment now, doing the mixer now...

Yet sometimes it doesn't matter how "NOW" ya get right? Sometimes things just don't seem to work... if only the blessings would come when we demand them... success and life would be so much more predictable...

A great tragedy of this business is when a potentially great leader gives up 3 feet from striking gold - because they didn't employ PATIENCE. It takes discipline to say, "this stinks right now, and I'm not sure why, and I'm gonna wait it out cause things can only go UP from here... I know that better days are ahead... I need to SHIFT MY FOCUS AND NOT MAKE EXHAUSTIVE CONCLUSIONS ABOUT WHETHER THIS DOES OR DOESN'T WORK"...

Word to McFly... it works... that's been proven... seek "the way" to work it and it will be shown... over time...

There have been times in our business that it seems so easy... it's on fire... we can do no wrong... we've "figured it out"...

Yet there have been times where bad things are happening in 3's... we wonder if our leaders are on board... wonder why our last 3 appointments resulted in NOTHING... from Hero to Zero - just like that...

But each set back was a set up for a come back...

During the "winters" we get to reflect, re-assess, grow, strategize, re-commit... and we get the BLESSING OF DISGUST...

We've made our greatest business leaps immediately following DISGUST... because DISGUST is a sign that there's about to be a BREAKTHROUGH... because DISGUST is a place we'll not stay...

Let me give you a secret about people who make it here...

They maintain a sense of URGENCY even as they are practicing PATIENCE...

And they practice PATIENCE as they work with URGENCY...

Here's why people don't make it...

1) They're TOO URGENT, and quit when the world doesn't respond to their timing ("the returns just aren't great enough for the effort I'm putting into this" - foolish, but easy to buy into during the moment)

2) They stay PATIENT TOO long, and think that things will magically happen because they like Advocare - not so... APPOINTMENTS MUST KEEP GOIN' ON for someone who wants to hit, keep, or exceed RUBY...

The trick is to URGENTLY WORK EVEN WHILE YOU'RE BEING PATIENT enough to let things unfold... to let the fruit ripen...

Don't be TOO PATIENT...

Don't be TOO URGENT...

But be both URGENT and PATIENT.

Advocare National Champions

On February 28th 2010, six First Coast athletes competed for Accel Sports at the 2010 USA Weightlifting Junior National Championship and won their first national title. Accel Sports is the first USA Weightlifting team to ever win a National Championship from the First Coast area. The Junior National Championship is the highest level competition for all weightlifters in the country age 20 and under. “I am so proud of every one of these young men and how they competed”, said Jesse Reynolds, Head Coach and owner of Accel Sports Performance in Jacksonville. “This began as a dream that we said would one day be nice, but these kids bought in to the idea of being the best in the country and they came in every day and got to work in pursuit of that goal. Coach Lippo and I sat down and mapped out a game plan in November and we got to work following it. We knew that everyone had a role to play and if we each did our part, the team would succeed.” And succeed they did. Between the six Accel Sports lifters, they successfully completed 31 of their 36 attempts. Every lifter managed to lift exactly enough weight to win the team’s first national championship. Accel Sports tied Team Minnesota for first place with 35 points and won on the tie breaker by having Thomas Braddy win the silver medal in the 105kg class.
The weekend’s competition began on Friday with Matthew Hinson (Jacksonville) competing in the 62kg (136lb) class. Hinson started off the competition in a big way hitting his first five lifts before missing his 3rd jerk at 97kg (214lb). He successfully lifted a personal record 79kg (175lb) in the snatch and clean and jerked a personal record of 92kg (202lb) on his second attempt for a 171kg (376lb) personal record total and an 8th place finish. Later that day Tim Scott (Palm Coast) competed in the 69kg (152lb) weight class. Tim also hit his first five lifts before missing his 3rd jerk at 136kg (300lb). Tim snatched a personal record 96kg (211lb) along with another personal record clean and jerk of 131kg (289lb). That 227kg (500lb) total was another personal record and helped him finish 4th in the country.
The next day Accel Sports had three more lifters compete. First in the 85kg (187lb) class both Joe Rivera (Palm Coast) and Foster Carasia (Palm Coast) lifted. Joe went six for six with a personal record Snatch 95kg (209lb) and a 134kg (295lb) clean and jerk for a personal record total of 229kg (504lb). Rivera finished 8th. Foster continued to trend of big performances from Accel Sports lifters. Carasia nailed his first five lifts before missing his 3rd jerk at 143kg (315lb). He snatched 110kg (242lb) for a personal record and combined it with a 139kg (306lb) clean and jerk for 249kg (548lb) personal record total. That performance was good enough to earn him 4th place in the USA. Later that evening Chris Lenahen (Ponte Vedra) made his return to the platform after having ACL surgery last July and competed in the 94kg (207lb) category. Chris did not skip a beat and put up an impressive six for six performance. Lenahen snatched 120kg (264lb) and clean and jerked 145kg (320lb) for a 5th place finish and a 265kg (584lb) total. Chris is continuing to recover from his injury last summer and is expected to be full strength by the Collegiate National Championships in April at the USOEC at NMU where he currently attends school.

When the final day of lifting began, Accel Sports was trailing team Minnesota by two points and they only had one lifter left to go. Thomas Braddy (Macclenny) did not have the performance he had hoped for, but he did accomplish his goals he set for himself. Thomas snatched 120kg (264lb) and clean and jerked 186kg (410lb) in the 105kg (231lb) class. His 306kg (674lb) total was good enough to earn him the silver medal, a spot on his first Junior World Championship team in Bulgaria this June, and the 2010 Junior National Championship for Accel Sports.
Accel Sports is a youth sports performance center that helps kids all throughout the First Coast maximize their athletic potential through world class strength and conditioning services. They are also the home of the Accel Sports USA Weightlifting team. Because of their world class weightlifting program and training facility, they have helped dozens of kids from the First Coast area compete on the national and international stage in Olympic Weightlifting. If your son or daughter wants to be a successful weightlifter or if they want to improve their individual performance in another sport, they can find more information at www.AccelSportsPerformance.com

Subject: Upcoming Events and Classes
Dear Michael,
I hope this finds you and your family doing well. During what some would call a recession, I hope you are tapping into all the revenue streams available to you through Personal Training. Some trainers view these times as a reason people can not afford Personal Training, while others view this as an opportunity to help families gain back control over their health by putting themselves first, thus going back to the basics which is helping relieve STRESS!! I sure hope you bought into the latter one because the timing has never been better for Health and Fitness Enthusiasts to step up, step out of the box and truly go make that difference in the health of this amazing Country that you set out to do when you became certified.
If you feel that you are just going through the motions. If circumstances have changed for you and your family and you are looking for more, give me a call. We have created a system where trainers are working 30 hours a week and earning over $100,000 a year. While some trainers thrive, some barely survive. It's a choice.

Diane & Danny McDaniel pin Double Diamond

ANOTHER BARRIER BROKEN!

CONGRATULATIONS TO DANNY AND DIANE MCDANIEL for being the first AdvoCare Distributorship to achieve the status of DOUBLE DIAMOND! The McDaniels had a total of 87 Contributing Legs on their team of Distributors and amassed total override earnings of $16,770.06, with 24 Star Legs in the pay period ending on Feb. 16, 2010. Remarkably, they’ve earned over 15 million dollars to date in AdvoCare!

Danny and Diane began their AdvoCare journey when they joined Advocare on Jan. 14 of 1997. They purchased a small quantity of products and set their sights on going for the Advisor position, which they achieved within two months – on March 18, 1997 and from there, they began their upward spiral that now finds them wearing the Double Diamond pin. Their sustained, 13-year effort serves as proof of what can be done with focus, with determination and with an unquenchable desire to push aside every obstacle through the process of "building people" over an extended period of time.

Their story is best summarized in a quote Danny and Diane frequently use, "If you find enough good people and help them get what they want, that’s the best way for you to achieve what you want, so lose 'yourself' in the dreams of other people."

Don't miss Danny in Orlando on May 1st

Carlton & Lisa pin Diamond!

Carlton and Lisa pin diamond!

Carlton and Lisa Hardman have fully qualified as AdvoCare’s newest Diamond Advisors as of the pay period ending Feb. 16, 2010! The Hardmans registered as Distributors on Aug. 6, 2002 and submitted their Advisor order the same day. Since that time, their total income through the period ending Feb. 16, 2010 is $491,274. They have also earned many cash incentives and trips along the way.

"We didn’t really plan way in advance for hitting Diamond over the past two pay periods," Carlton said. "We just woke up one morning and both Lisa and I agreed that this was the time – the defining moment – when we could reach higher and wrap our arms around Diamond, and it happened. That’s the way we’ve moved up through the marketing plan from the very beginning – a possibility came in sight and we decided to go for it. It’s interesting how things fall into place when a person stays in the game and once a resolve is made to do something like this," he said.

In addition, it was Lisa who updated listeners on a recent Rookie Bonus Call on the status of their progress in becoming debt free. She announced they’ve put $200,000 of debt behind them.

Carlton said, "We are forever changed by our AdvoCare journey and believe the words of Charlie Ragus when saying, 'AdvoCare is about who you become in pursuit of those things in life that you want.'"
